Start at the top of the opening and cut carefully along the lines you made on the wall.
I cut an opening through brick block using a diamond say and just plain old old school sledge hammer.
Score the length of the cut three or four times with the chisel.
Normally done with welded or bolted structural steel outer frame for the door to reinforce the opening you are making then normal door put inside that outer frame and commonly adding reinforcing and or grout filling of the block voids on the blocks surrounding the door opening.
Then i used lentils over the brick and block and fill.
Add another set of marks across the top of the frame to represent a steel lintel that will support the load above the door.
I dug the dirt outside the foundation wall 10 deeper than i would normally dig.
Once both sides ware cut he used a sledge hammer and some wedges to knock the wall out of position and into the pre dug hole awaiting outside.
A circular saw with a masonry blade can also be used to either score or completely cut through the block.
